Hi is this battery compatible with the original Icom charger for NiCad batteries. On this radio the battery is charged by a plugpack connected to the battery through a connector on the radio (battery doesn't have a separate charger) Plugpack says output 12vdc 300mA

Thanks for your question! If the charger is a slow charger ( ie not a 1hr ) then the Ni-MH are a good replacement. If you have a fast charger then stick with the Ni-Cd.
